Embedded System Design & Applications group consists of two fully equiped labs what are used for trainning undergraduate and postagraduate students.

In addition, the lab equipment is used for supporting the research activities of the laboratory and the cooperations with companies and research insitiutes.

HP BladeSystem c7000 enclosure

The BladeSystem c7000 enclosure provides all the power, cooling, and I/O infrastructure needed to support modular server, interconnect, and storage components today and throughout the next several years. The enclosure is10U high and holds up to 16 server and/or storage blades plus optional redundant network and storage interconnect modules. It includes a shared, 5 terabit per second high-speed NonStop midplane for wire-once connectivity of server blades to network and shared storage.

HP ProLiant BL460c Server series - Models

A balanced architecture featuring multi-core Intel® Xeon® processors with expanded cache, fully buffered DDR2 memory, optional Serial Attached SAS or SATA hard drives, support of Multi-Function NICS and multiple I/O cards, the BL460c G1, provides a performance system ideal for the full range of scale out applications.

HP GbE2c Layer 2/3 Ethernet Blade Switch

Designed for the c-Class BladeSystem enclosure, the HP GbE2c Layer 2/3 Ethernet Blade Switch (GbE2c Layer 2/3) provides a full set of Layer 2 switching and Layer 3 routing features, sixteen internal downlinks, five uplinks and two internal cross-connects in a single low cost blade switch. Four of the five uplinks can be either copper or fiber using optional SFP fiber modules. The HP GbE2c Layer 2/3 Switch dramatically reduces cabling, power and cooling requirements compared to external stand-alone switches, allowing you to realize the full benefits of the HP c-Class BladeSystem.

DDR Infiniband switch

The Voltaire DDR InfiniBand Grid Director 2012 multi-service switch enables high performance applications to run on distributed server, storage and network resources. Multiple Grid Director 2012 switches can be interconnected to form very large high performance clusters and grids that can grow into the thousands of nodes with “pay as you grow” scalability.

Sun spots

Sun SPOT encourages the development of new applications and devices. It is designed from the ground up to allow programmers who never before worked with embedded devices to think beyond the keyboard, mouse and screen and write programs that interact with each other, the environment and their users in completely new ways. A Java programmer can use standard Java development tools such as NetBeans to write code.
